Monasterium Laboratory Skin & Hair Research Solutions GmbH provides state-of the art preclinical and clinical services for cosmetology and dermatology applications.
Their mission is to provide our clients with highly clinically relevant models and to combine their unique expertise, our project design creativity, and their passion to advance clients’ success in delivering novel and game-changing skin and hair research solutions for scientific claim substantiation.
This year, they are proud to announce their participation at In-cosmetics Paris, 5-7 April 2022 with a booth in the Testing & Lab Zone.
During the past years, despite the COVID-19 pandemic, ML has developed new in vitro and ex vivo assays for cosmetic testing. Among their highlights were:
- The discovery of additional chemosensory mechanisms in the hair follicles that could be targeted to promote or inhibit hair growth.
- Ex vivo skin organ culture model for testing anti-aging assets.
- In vitro cell-based senescence-induced chronological (intrinsic) aging assay to screen anti-aging compound.
- Assays to study the hair follicle microbiome
- The first assay on the market allowing to simultaneously investigate the “living” hair follicle and the “dead” hair shaft, while continuously monitoring its quality (established in cooperation with our partner TRI Princeton)
- New assays for investigating hair follicle and skin metabolism.
You will be able to find them at their booth (S101) where they will answer all your questions, share with you more details on their services, and advice how their services can be benefit to your development pipelines. Their team on site will be composed off CSO Dr. Marta Bertolini, Deputy CSO and Team Leader Dr. Janin Edelkamp, Team Leader Dr. Ilaria Piccini and Staff Scientist Dr. Markus Ferholz.
