The 35th IFSCC Congress will take place in Cannes from September 15 to 18 under the theme “Future is Science”. Organized by the Société Française de Cosmétologie and supported by major names in the international cosmetics industry, the 2025 IFSCC Congress, under the presidency of Dr. Christine Lafforgue, will be hosted at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes.

Focus on 3 key topics

The event is expected to welcome over 1,000 participants, who will have the privilege of attending 68 selected conferences and exploring 650 posters presented by international experts over 3 days, focusing on 3 key topics: Skin and hair health and well-being, Holistic sciences, and Diversity and personalization. Almost 1,200 submissions were received by the scientific committee with 55% coming from Asia, 32% from Europe and 13% from Americas.

Prof. Thierry Passeron, prof. David Sander, prof. Marc-André Selosse, prof. Jin Qu, prof. Nina Jablonski and Dr. Anke Hadasch will each introduce one of the scientific half-days of the congress, following the ‘out of the box’ morning sessions by Paul Matt, Gilles Bœuf, and Luc Julia, designed to inspire unconventional thinking and explore the unexpected as a source of creativity for cosmetology.

On September 15, a workshop day led by specialists will precede the 3 official days of the congress. Each session will provide participants with cutting-edge insights to enhance their work. Places are limited.

Finally, a dedicated area will host some thirty exhibitors showcasing their services and technologies.

Designed to promote the latest scientific advances in cosmetology, this 35th congress is the annual opportunity to federate the IFSCC’s worldwide network made up of 51 Societies from 81 countries, in interaction with academic and industrial players in the cosmetics sector. It is the responsibility of the host country’s Society to organize the event. As a founding member and significant scientific contributor to the IFSCC, the Société Française de Cosmétologie (SFC) is delighted to host this event, as the last IFSCC congress in France dates back to 2014.

On the occasion of this 35th Congress, and with the support of L’Oréal Research & Innovation, the SFC will present the 3rd edition of the “Sustainability Challenge”. Applications are open until May 25.

All information about the 2025 IFSCC Congress – registration, program, workshops, sustainability challenge, sponsorship and exhibition opportunities, practical info – is available on the event’s comprehensive website. Preferential rate for all registrations before April 13, 2025.
