Anti-pollution Effectiveness Shown in Image a Microscopy Services Webinar – New Methods for Quantitative Detection

Microscopy Services organises the 28th November, 2023 (3:00 pm) a webinar about air pollution, who is especially caused by pollutants such as particulate matter, exhaust fumes, UV and visible light can lead to premature skin aging.

These pollutants can damage skin cells and lead to a loss of elasticity and firmness. In addition, pollution can also lead to skin irritation, inflammation, and deterioration of the skin’s appearance.

Microscopy Services has developed different methods to apply pollution to the skin and to document the effect of anti-pollution products using new methodological approaches.

In their presentation you will get the following informations:

  • a general introduction to the topic of anti-pollution
  • overview of different questions and the corresponding analytical methods
  • quantification of particulate pollution on skin or hair, before and after product treatment
  • application of blue light or cigarette smoke to the skin surface and its effect on the epidermis using the example of barrier damage
  • change of collagen structures at the transition to the dermis
  • change of biochemical parameters
