Internalized in vitro tests in its laboratory in Lyon (GLP activities), sensory analyzes specifically in Japan, consumer tests and clinical studies of safety and efficacy conducted in multi-ethnic panels: IEC has the widest range of tests for evaluation of cosmetic products.

Created in 1990 by Jean-Pierre Guillot, Toxicologist, certified ISO9001v2008, IEC is headed since July 2013 by Etienne CAMEL, Pharm. D., DEA in Skin Biology, expert toxicologist (Eurotox list).

Etienne Camel was responsible as of 1993 for the development of clinical objectification department of IEC, after 2 years in the dermatological research and cosmetic evaluation laboratory of Dr. Howard Maibach in San Francisco.

Assisted by Frédéric Guillot, General Director and son of the founder, and by highly experienced staff, Etienne Camel continues the strategy of Jean-Pierre Guillot who led IEC to N°1 worldwide among cosmetic evaluation laboratories, combining experience and unequalled expertise of the institute for clinical and in vitro safety tests, rigor and quality of services and development of innovative methods and protocols for the objectification of cosmetics.
