Another one bites the dust. Due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, the Organizing Committee of the 31st IFSCC Congress 2020 Yokohama has decided to cancel this year’s in-person congress in Yokohama, Japan and hold a virtual Congress, instead. Dates and times of the virtual event will be announced tomorrow.
“We have been carefully evaluating the feasibility of holding the Congress in Yokohama as planned but came to this exceptionally difficult decision, since the safety and health of our community are more important,” said the IFSCC Secretariat in a statement.
Further announcements regarding the details of the Congress; i.e., presentation style, format, will be announced later this month. Until then, registration is closed. Organizers will provide information on refund procedures within a month.
