Brazil’s Cosmetics Industry Accelerates its International Development via Premium Beauty News

After a year that was marked by severe restrictions on the market and on international travels, the Brazilian cosmetics industry not only strengthened its positions in its home market but also recorded its first trade surplus in 10 years, probably helped by the strong devaluation of the local currency.

For Gueisa Silvério, responsible for international trade within the Brazilian Association of the Personal Hygiene, Perfume and Cosmetics Industry (ABIHPEC), the country’s cosmetics makers have been able to take advantage of 2020 to make the demonstration of their high potential on international markets.
