Hydration Clinical Studies at Intertek

The moisturizing effect of personal care is evaluated through various instrumental techniques and score protocols:
- Corneometer: a measure of the degree of hydration of the upper layers of the epidermis, via the principle of the conductivity of the skin.
- Moisture Map: objectivation by images of the tissue microtopography.
- Quantisquam: sampling of the squams presents on the skin surface using “D’Squam” and analysis using Quantisquam® software.
- C-cube: The images of the surface of the skin are captured by the ultra-HD camera and then analyzed by the software.
- Clinical score: hydration is evaluated via the evaluation a dermatologist or expert technicians and also via a dedicated score scale.
