At a previous Consumer Electronics Show, L’Oréal-owned skincare brand La Roche-Posay unveiled the innovative MY UV Patch as an ultra-thin UV sensor to measure sun exposure and at CES 2019, event attendees are being introduced to a new prototype called My Skin Track pH by La Roche-Posay.
My Skin Track pH by La Roche-Posay offers a new way for people to understand the health of their skin, thanks to a wearable microfluidic sensor and a companion app that measure pH levels. The CES 2019 Innovation Award-winning sensor in the Wearable Technology Products category has the potential to help consumers create customized skincare routines to better suit their individual needs and areas of concern.
Healthy skin is said to be slightly acidic at 4.5 to 5.5 on the pH scale, which goes up to 14. With a pH imbalance, inflammation occurs and can cause everything from dryness to eczema.
