The new My Skin Track UV is available exclusively through Apple and with its accompanying app can measure UV, pollution, pollen and humidity
L’Oréal-owned beauty brand La Roche-Posay has developed its second wearable sun safety sensor for US consumers.
The battery-free My Skin Track UV product was developed by L’Oréal’s Technology Incubator and can measure UV levels with a companion app to track pollution, pollen and humidity levels.
It can also store up to three months’ collected data by tapping against users phone.
“We created this battery-free sensor to seamlessly integrate into the lives, and daily routines, of those using it,” said Guive Balooch, Global VP and Head of L’Oréal’s Technology Incubator.
“We hope the launch of this problem-solving technology makes it easier for people to make smart, sun-safe choices.”
Back in 2016, the brand launched its first UV defence sensor, My UV Patch, designed to be stretchable and half the width of a hair strand.
