SkinAbs®, the new system for percutaneous penetration studies by Alphenyx

Alphenyx is a biotech company based in Marseille, within the Grand Luminy Technopole.

We are specialized in sourcing and custom-made transformation of human tissues for research, and offer a variety of products, such as living skin explants, dermatomed skin disks or primary cells. We therefore provide alternative solutions to animal testing for pre-clinical studies of new drugs and predictive evaluation in cosmetics. Developing new products to better respond to our customer experimental constraints, we are pleased to present our new model “SkinAbs®”.

SkinAbs® is a new ready to use system for percutaneous penetration studies, adaptable to any Franz’s Cell system. This system is characterized by the association of a dermatomed skin disc (or a full skin disc on demand) and a silicone ring, acting as a seal, allowing faster handling. SkinAbs®, as all Alphenyx dermatomed skin discs, undergoes a strict quality control for thickness to guarantee homogenous discs and an optimal reproducibility.
