T-SKIN™, an industrial reconstructed human skin model for dermatological and cosmetics by EPISKIN

New cosmetics and dermatological products rely more and more on in vitro screening platforms for early and ongoing efficacy assessment during product development. T-Skin™ is a new reconstructed skin full-thickness model that exhibits a well stratified, differentiated and self-renewing epidermis with a dermal compartment composed of functional fibroblasts embedded in a matrix of collagen I.

• This poster presents characterization by immunohistochemistry of intracellular and extracellular biomarkers located in epidermal, dermal-epidermal junction and dermal compartment of T-Skin™ compared to normal human skin.

• Application in the field of anti-aging studies is investigated by the functional response of T-Skin TM after applying reference anti-aging actives, Vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid) and Retinol.

• When exposed to UVs, key players of skin photo-aging, the induced biological changes in T-Skin™ are observed at epidermal and dermal levels by immunohistochemistry, histology and inflammatory cytokines production.
