Piscataway, NJ and Winston-Salem, NC (May 13, 2016) – Clinical Research Laboratories, LLC (“CRL”), a leading independent contract laboratory providing a wide range of clinical safety and efficacy testing to the cosmetic, beauty products, personal care, and pharmaceutical industries, and Suncare Research Laboratories, LLC (“Suncare”), a leading provider of specialized testing in SPF, UVAPF (in vivo and in vitro), phototoxicity and photoallergenicity are pleased to announce that CRL has acquired Suncare. The acquisition will leverage the strengths of both companies’ industry-leading services, clinical expertise, and proven ability to deliver accurate and timely study results.
“The combination of our two companies is highly strategic as it expands CRL’s geographic reach and materially increases panelist pool access and clinical testing capacity,” said Marc Shaffer, CRL President.
Joe and Bill Stanfield will remain active in the Suncare business as Bill Stanfield will manage the North Carolina facility and Joe Stanfield will continue to offer his expertise as a consultant. Along with their experienced staff, they will continue to provide the same high level of expertise and customer service.
