An Exclusive Interview by Monasterium Laboratory, a Qima Life Science Company [Booth S101]

Monasterium Laboratory is happy to announce participation at In-cosmetics Paris, 5-7th of April 2022 with a booth in the Testing & Lab Zone (S101). Despite the COVID-19 pandemic ML intensively worked on the development of novel assays for cosmeceutical testing. We combined our unique expertise, our ability for advanced project development and our passion to meet our clients’ expectations to deliver new research solutions for scientific claim substantiation. We are excited to share some insights into two of our several new services.

 

Human skin aging

Our team of scientific experts developed cutting-edge in vitro and ex vivo models of human skin aging which are highly clinically relevant and allow for a rapid and reproducible induction of well recognized cellular aging characteristics. Thus, our new pre-clinical models provide a unique opportunity to gain insight into the mechanisms of human skin aging and present valuable tools for screening and testing novel anti-aging formulations and skin rejuvenation treatments.

Microbiome analysis

It is crucial to understand the impact of the microbiome of human skin and hair follicles to develop novel probiotic or balancing treatments, e.g. for adjuvant hair loss management and skin microbiome imbalances. Our expertise can help to answer many questions on the “hot-topic” of microbiome research and how novel actives could benefit. Using ex vivo culture models in combination with state-of-the art techniques (e.g. sequencing methods) we are able to analyse microbial compositions, effects on antimicrobial peptides, and much more….
