Quick & Easy Classification of Dandruff – New Software for DandruffMeter DA 20 – by Courage & Khazaka

Analyzing dandruff is one of the most important concerns in research of hair care products and their efficacy testing. The DandruffMeter DA 20 is an imaging device to quickly evaluate dandruff collected from the scalp onto a petri dish. The latest software is easy to navigate and facilitates the daily work:

  • Dandruff is classified by number & size (in pixel and mm²) for up to 9 different size categories which can be determined by the user.
  • Display of each category in a different colour. Click on one colour to see only the respective category.
  • Zoom in/out of the image for details.
  • Preset options for fine, medium & large dandruff available.
  • Possibility to define categories, which can be saved and exported.
  • The average of up to 6 images is automatically calculated.
  • Software conveniently allows evaluation of complete studies.
  • Easy, illustrated and intuitive calibration of the system (pixels in mm²).
