Your responsibilities
Active Ingredient innovation & strategic sourcingAs the Active Ingredient Sourcing Process Leader, your role is to manage of the active portfolio to enable short & medium term innovations, in line with R&D categories (primarily Skincare) and sourcing strategies:
- As main contact to Oriflame’s strategic suppliers of active ingredients, maintain and further develop strong relationships
- Identify relevant outside-in innovations and coordinate their development, evaluation and integration to ensure generation of greatest value to fulfil product briefs and new technology pipeline whilst in line with Oriflame’s policies.
- Maintain existing Active Ingredient portfolio relevant and attractive by coordinating the generation of new claims and promoting in-house use to cross-category R&D teams.
- Work closely with key internal stakeholders to ensure alignment around active ingredients sourcing initiatives.
- Manage documentation excellence for Active portfolio for user friendly consultation.
Clinical Investigative Testing & proof-of-principle studies
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of our testing instrumentation and capability within Oriflame’s Efficacy testing Unit, Ori-Derm
- Adhere to our Quality Management System at all times
- Working closely with third parties and Ori-Derm scientists, research and identify best approach to prove clinical performance of active technologies and deliver within agreed timing and budget.
- Perform statistical analysis, form scientifically valid conclusions from studies, report and present results to stakeholders.
- Adapt, investigate, create and validate new test methods to enable the generation of New-to-Oriflame claims for new technologies in line with Skincare category strategy.
- Coordinate and/or support exploratory research projects.
New claims generation for Skincare technologies
- Develop further expertise in skin physiology, active ingredient mechanisms and skin evaluation and efficacy testing, staying current with latest academia and industry research.
- Generate, share and communicate insights from scientific conferences/events/visits, competitor analysis and research investigation outputs internally to team or to a wider internal audience.
- Support relevant Oriflame’s innovation processes and workshops; Propose ideas for innovative claims generation and new test method investigation in line with Oriflame’s strategy.
- Assist Development and Technology teams in the translation of scientific data into consumer-relevant claims.
