Sensenet is organizing its Tech’days on January 17th and 18th!
Over these two days, live webinars led by our experts and partners will be offered to learn more about odor evaluation techniques and methods!
Three themes have been selected:
The quality of an ingredient or product also lies in its sensory perception and in particular its smell. Some ingredients are developed to bring an olfactory experience to the consumer while others have essential technical properties but must remain as neutral as possible in the final product. Any smelly note in a product can lead to complaints from consumers, so it is essential to have the right analytical tools to understand the origin of the non-compliance.
Through this session, we will propose presentations that will highlight the sensory and molecular methods that make it possible to define the olfactory quality of an ingredient or to understand the origin of an olfactory defect on a formula.
More and more products in a wide range of sectors such as cosmetics, cleaning and hygiene products or even some pharmaceutical products, carry olfactory claims.
Olfactory claims can be linked to:
This session will focus on case studies where sensory analysis and molecular analysis have proven essential to justify olfactory claims.
Consumers are increasingly attentive to smells and a healthy environment. The presence of bad odors is often perceived as a lack of hygiene or even as a threat to health. The increasing use of highly functional cosmetic products reflects how much consumers care about their health, appearance while also demanding long-lasting protection against the formation of body odor.
This session will give you explanations on how sweat is generated, what odorous molecules are responsible for body odor, and above all will introduce you to the different in-vitro and in-vivo methodologies available to evaluate the effectiveness of antiperspirant or deodorant products.
