Suncert 1st International Organization for Control and Certification of Sun Protection Testing

Founded by Sébastien MIKSA, solar expert, SUNCERT is the first international organization for control and certification of sun protection testing of cosmetic products.

Because the use of a sunscreen product is directly linked to consumer health, the relevance and reliability of the sun protection performance is an ethical obligation from all actors in sun protection field.
Thus, SUNCERT devotes his energy and skills in order to contribute to the development of reliable assessment of sun protection.

A CERTIFICATION IN RESPONSE TO A REAL NEED

The sunscreen testing certification is born from a simple observation: the impossibility for anyone to recognize the conformity of sun protection assessment according to standards without a control by an independent company and expert in this field.
Therefore, SUNCERT recognizes this certification requested by testing laboratories, cosmetic manufacturers, standardization agencies, international commissions, market regulators, industries and consumers associations, as a fundamental guarantee of quality.

A CERTIFICATION FOCUSED ON QUALITY

To concretely respond to the needs of the cosmetic industry, SUNCERT certifies the competence of a laboratory through rigorous yearly audits of the quality system and in vivo and in vitro sunscreen testing methods.
A SUNCERT certificate is delivered to the certified laboratory and allows providing a guarantee of reliability for the stakeholders by ensuring the expertise of the laboratory. Furthermore, this certification also allows proving the compliance of the sunscreen tests with international standards by challenging the methods and to compare the expertise between competitor laboratories.
