POSITION 2016: 3D TISSUE MODELS DEVELOPER
PLACE OF WORK: MILAN (ITALY)

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE APPLICANT:
The applicant will be responsible within a well established in vitro platform for the overall management, evaluation and execution of sponsored studies aimed at developing, characterizing and validating next-generation in vitro 3D human tissue models for preclinical application in life sciences ( co-culture for scaffold free spheroids and 3D tissue models).

EDUCATION: PhD in biology / medical biotechnology/ biomedical sciences with master degree in cellular and molecular biology/ biotechnology / tissue reconstruction/regenerative medicine

TECHNICAL SKILLS: isolation and culturing of human cells (primary, staminal) and related cell and molecular biology techniques with application to 3D tissue
reconstruction, bio-printing.

WORK EXPERIENCE: at least 10 years in industrial or academic research laboratory or 3D human tissue production.

COMPLEMENTARY SKILLS:
– Strong scientific interest and curiosity with proven capability (including practical experience) to perform independent research indicated by a solid scientific track record. Ability to independently develop study design, execution, data analysis and interpretation of in vitro studies.
– A keen interest in troubleshooting will be vital to ensure successful completion of the project. The applicant must therefore display a high degree of scientific in-depth knowledge and creativity required to tackle complex investigational hypotheses.
– Review and follow-up of novel literature and methodologies is required.
– Good interpersonal skills are required to maintain efficient interactions with internal and external collaborators.
– Excellent organizational skills and knowledge of the English language is required (oral/written).
