Webinar – Testing Trends from in-cosmetics Asia 2026 – November, 10 2026

What is trending in evaluation from in-cosmetics Asia 2026?

During this We Are Testing® post-show webinar, Anne Charpentier will share the trends and innovations spotted at the show in Bangkok.

  • November 10 2026
  • 10 AM (CET), 4 PM (Bangkok time)

in-cosmetics Asia is where the region’s testing innovations come into view. For this special post-show session, Anne Charpentier opens with a presentation of the trends and innovations seen at the show , followed by three speakers, Sequential, Zurko Research and Loretta. The webinar is held in English, and the replay will be sent to all registrants.

Mapping Product Impact Through Multi-Omics Science

The personal care industry increasingly claims impact on biological systems (the skin barrier, the microbiome, inflammatory pathways), yet much of the testing behind these claims still relies on simplified in vitro models or perception-based consumer studies. Sequential is advancing personal care testing with an integrated multi-omics framework: combining next-generation sequencing, proteomics and lipidomics with biophysical measurements to build a systems-level picture of product impact. Testing is conducted in vivo, on real human subjects, using proprietary non-invasive collection systems that bridge controlled protocols with everyday product use. In this session, Albert will share how multi-omics data helps brands understand mechanism of action, compare formulations objectively, and build a stronger, more defensible scientific foundation.

Skincare & Haircare products efficiency evaluation using High-Speed Atomic Force Microscopy

Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) provides high-resolution topographical imaging of biological surfaces and offers a sensitive approach for assessing the efficacy of cosmetic products at the micro- and nanoscale. For skincare applications, corneocytes can be collected non-invasively by tape stripping and analysed by AFM to characterize surface nanotexture, roughness, and morphological features associated with stratum corneum condition. Changes in these parameters can provide valuable information on skin hydration, barrier quality, and the effects of topical formulations.Similarly, for hair care applications, AFM topography can be used to investigate the surface morphology of hair cuticles, enabling the visualization and quantification of cuticle roughness, scale edges, surface irregularities, and nanoscale damage. Comparison of hair fibres before and after product application can therefore reveal smoothing, protective, or repairing effects that may not be detectable using conventional imaging techniques.

ZURKO RESEARCH
From Clinic to Lab: How to Test Cosmetics for Post-Treatment Skin

This presentation explores how cosmetic products for post-treatment skin can be translated into robust clinical evidence. It introduces Zurko Research and reviews key aspects of post-procedure skin physiology, including barrier disruption, TEWL, inflammation, erythema, pigmentation risk and recovery. It also addresses the shift from traditional aftercare to periprocedural skincare, highlighting how product claims should guide procedure selection, comparators, assessment timing and study design. Key clinical models, objective and patient-relevant endpoints, safety and practical considerations are discussed.
