Human skin model ‘KeraSkin™’ evaluation method enhancing sunscreen competitiveness via The K-Beauty Science

[INTERVIEW] – Changjin Lee, Senior Researcher, Biosolution Non-Clinical Research Center

“The advanced alternative test method for UV protection developed through the human skin model ‘KeraSkin™’ is a new test evaluation method that overcomes the limitations of animal tests or human phenotype-centered clinical trial evaluation methods. In the future, we will screen more sunscreen formulations to improve the accuracy, precision, and sensitivity of our sunscreen effectiveness assessment method.”

Changjin Lee, a senior researcher at the Biosolution Non-Clinical Research Center, explained his poster paper ‘Development of a UV Protection Efficacy Evaluation Method Using a Human Skin Model (KeraSkin™)’. He presented this paper at the ‘2024 Spring Conference’ held by the Korean Society of Cosmetic Sciences (Chairman Park Young-ho) on May 10.
